Thanks for making time to chat. Let’s begin with an introduction—who are you, and what areas do you proudly represent as a realtor?
I’m Alexandria Rosales, a Texas Realtor with almost a decade of experience and deep roots in real estate and construction. As part of a family-owned construction business, I’ve developed a strong understanding of new construction, development, and the process of bringing a vision to life.

I began my real estate career in San Antonio before moving to Houston in 2020, and today I serve clients across Houston snd San Antonio with Schroeder & Co. at SERHANT. While I work with buyers and sellers across a range of needs, my experience and family background have led me to pursue larger opportunities with developers, custom home builders, and partners creating exceptional communities and homes.

As a mom of three and a longtime Texas resident, I understand how personal real estate decisions can be. I bring a relationship-driven approach, local insight, and a genuine passion for helping clients and industry partners move confidently from concept to completion.
GETTING STARTED & WHY REAL ESTATE MATTERS
Let’s rewind a bit—how did you get started in real estate, and what made you fall in love with this career?
Before real estate, I actually had a career in law enforcement. After getting married and having my first child, I made the decision to step away from that career and stay home with my daughter. I loved being a mom, but I also knew I wanted to continue growing professionally and build something of my own.

I was really intentional about what came next. I didn’t want to jump from one career to another trying to figure out what fit. I wanted to find something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life, something that would evolve as I did, provide financial opportunities for my family, and give me the flexibility to be present for the moments that mattered most.

With my family’s background in construction and interior design, real estate felt like a natural fit. I already had an appreciation for homes, design, and the building process, but I also saw an opportunity to create a career that could grow in so many different directions.

More than a decade later, that’s probably what still excites me most. This industry has given me the opportunity to grow from helping individual families buy and sell homes to collaborating with builders, developers, and other professionals who are shaping the communities around us.

My career looks very different today than it did when I started, and I love that. I’ve been able to grow professionally, challenge myself, and pursue opportunities I couldn’t have imagined when I first got my license, all while raising my family. That’s exactly the kind of career I was hoping to find.

LOCAL MARKET
For someone considering your area, what should they know about the lifestyle, vibe, or opportunities there?
One of the things I love most about Houston is the variety, especially in the suburbs. You can have two communities just miles apart that offer completely different lifestyles, and that’s something people don’t always realize when relocating here.

Cypress, Katy, and The Woodlands are great examples. From established neighborhoods with mature trees and larger lots to newer master-planned communities with incredible amenities, there’s something for just about every stage of life.

Houston’s continued growth also creates exciting opportunities for new construction and development. With my background in construction and design, I love seeing how builders are creating homes and communities that reflect the way people want to live today.

I always remind my clients that choosing a home is only part of the equation. The neighborhood, lifestyle, commute, and long-term fit matter just as much. Understanding those differences is where having a knowledgeable local Realtor really makes an impact.
THE WHY
Every agent brings something different to the table. What’s your unique approach or advantage?

I think my biggest advantage is that I’m willing to tell people what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear. My clients trust me to be honest, direct, and advocate for their best interests, even when that means having uncomfortable conversations.

Real estate can be emotional, and I think one of the most important parts of my job is helping people separate emotion from strategy. I’m a strong negotiator, but I also know when to push, when to listen, and when to take a different approach to get us closer to the goal.

I take a very hands-on, relationship-driven approach to my business. I want my clients to feel informed, supported, and confident in their decisions, but I also want them to know they have someone in their corner who isn’t afraid to challenge their perspective when it’s necessary.

At the end of the day, I’m not interested in simply getting a transaction closed. I’m interested in getting it closed the right way and building relationships that last well beyond the closing table.

SERVICES, NICHE & VALUE
Do you focus on a particular niche or type of client? Tell us about what makes your services stand out.
I’ve built a large part of my business around helping people navigate major transitions, particularly relocation and new construction. I’ve worked extensively with families moving to Texas, including medical professionals relocating for career opportunities, and I really enjoy helping them get familiar with a new city and find a community that fits their lifestyle.

New construction is another area I’m especially passionate about. I love the process of helping clients explore their options, understand what builders offer, and make thoughtful decisions about everything from floor plans and design selections to long-term value.

More recently, I’ve been expanding my work with custom home builders and developers, which has opened up opportunities to be involved in projects from a different perspective. I enjoy bringing together the relationships, market knowledge, and creative thinking that help turn an idea into something tangible.

What I love about real estate is that my business doesn’t have to fit into one box. Whether I’m helping a family relocate, representing a seller, or collaborating on a new development, I get to approach each opportunity with the same level of attention and commitment.
Let’s go a little deeper. What’s something you do behind the scenes that clients may not realize but really makes a difference?
I think one of the biggest things people don’t realize is how much work happens behind the scenes to make sure my clients have the information and options they need to make confident decisions. There’s a lot of research, preparation, communication, and problem-solving that goes into that.

I’m constantly evaluating different scenarios, anticipating potential challenges, and thinking several steps ahead. Whether that’s preparing a property for the market, navigating a difficult negotiation, or identifying something during the inspection process that could become a bigger issue, I try to be proactive rather than reactive.

I also spend a lot of time managing the moving pieces and personalities involved in a transaction. There are so many people and emotions at play, and knowing how to communicate effectively with everyone can make a tremendous difference in the outcome.

My goal is never to make a complicated transaction seem more complicated than it needs to be. I want my clients to understand their options, feel confident making their own decisions, and know that I’m handling the details they shouldn’t have to worry about. Sometimes the best work I do is the work they never even realize needed to happen.
EXPERTISE
What’s something clients often misunderstand about real estate that you’d love to clear up?
I think one of the biggest misconceptions in real estate is that a home’s asking price automatically reflects what it’s worth. The reality is that pricing is a strategy, market value is influenced by comparable sales and current conditions, and ultimately, buyers determine what they’re willing to pay.

I see buyers get caught up in trying to figure out how much a seller might come down, and sellers get attached to what they believe their home should be worth. Neither approach necessarily leads to a successful transaction.

I always encourage my clients to focus on the bigger picture. What does the market data tell us? What are your priorities? What does a successful outcome actually look like for you?

Real estate isn’t about winning every point in a negotiation. It’s about understanding the numbers, recognizing opportunities, and making decisions that move you closer to your goals. Sometimes that means negotiating aggressively, and other times it means recognizing when you’ve already found the right opportunity.

This has been wonderful. As we close, what final advice would you offer, and how can people learn more about working with you?
My biggest piece of advice is to surround yourself with people who know what they’re doing, aren’t afraid to be honest with you, and genuinely care about the outcome. Real estate is a significant investment, and having the right people in your corner can make all the difference.

I’d also encourage people not to wait until they’re ready to buy, sell, or build to start having conversations. Some of the best decisions come from planning ahead, understanding your options, and building relationships with professionals who can help you get where you want to go.

I’m always happy to connect, whether you’re exploring your next move, considering a custom home, developing a new project, or simply looking to collaborate. I love meeting people who are passionate about what they do and finding opportunities to create something great together.
